We put DLSU in the map with this win in this competition. 🌍 I’m proud to share that I participated in the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge (GSIC), a platform that empowers students from partner universities around the world to engage with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing social innovations that address pressing environmental and social challenges — locally and globally.

Again this a continuation of our iteration for the team’s idea of a compact anaerobic digesters with the idea to sell this and be of use to food concessionaires and kitchen cafeterias.~

🚀 My Contributions

As part of the project team, I contributed to refining and shaping our idea to be globally viable while aligned with real-world implementation.

🧠 Key Roles:

  • Outlined the problem–customer fit and guided iterative improvements to adapt the concept into an operationally feasible commercial device
  • Delivered the technical background to justify the technology’s capability to support:
    • SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy ⚡
    • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities 🏙️
    • SDG 13: Climate Action 🌱
